30-in-30 Fused Glass Challenges

During the month of January, 2015 I participated in a Sgraffito 30 in 30 challenge.  This is a collage of 25 of the 30 pictures I finished.  I will keep on working on many of them, adding color, etc.  It has been a wonderful challenge and I have learned so much.

I also participated in a second challenge to complete 30 glass paintings in 30 days, but wasn't able to complete all of the pieces I started.  I'm still working on these, but because many of the paintings I've started require multiple firings it will take some time before I am finished.  I'll add photos of the pieces as I finish them.

This one, called Aspen Trunks, is finished and is available at Rock Run Gallery.  I used both glass powders and Thompson Enamels.  It was the first time I've used enamels, and I've a lot to learn about them.  The colors do tend to be more vibrant, I think, and I can use them in a more painterly fashion, which I like.
